Steven Henkind, M.D., Ph.D., (steven.henkind@gmail.com) is considered to be a national expert in the field of EMRs, CPOE, and CDS.  He has over thirty years of experience as a consultant, business leader, and a regional chief medical information officer.  Although not his primary career focus, he has also participated in a variety of litigation support activities including the examination and review of electronic medical records related to malpractice cases and is available to consult in cases in which alteration of electronic medical records is suspected, and in matters in which institutional liability may be based upon a theory of improper constrained medical care that has been rendered or denied by formulation and/or implementation of EMR templates and plans of care.
